' Sen ' has a number of meanings and relates a little to the antagonistic nature of spirit and the way this pushes and pulls us and forwards our personal evolution if we believe in that process or imagine it.
It relates also to some aspects of the character in the film ' Thx1138 ' and the sense as humans we are all a little lost.
' Sen ' felt a bit like the term ' Spirit ' or ' Soul ' also and thats why it was used largely.
It seemed to sum things up .
As an album of works it was largely written as a fluid and ' wui wei ' process and with an emphasis returning to simple melody and harmony and the use of this to remind and emotionally affect the listener.
I would not class this a main ' Ishq' work but a secondary series of sketches and musings.
There was not to much ' hard effort ' and editing put into the process as that translates too often into a listening experience that is itself to much hard work so the idea was keep it simple and free.
References and repeating themes used creatively included the idea of the Soul and its ' Eternal Summer ' or never ending existence in Light or the ' Everlasting Summer ' of the spirit.
Other ideas which are reflected in the work and found in a lot of Ishq works include the idea of timelessness and the future having already happened or been , memories of the future and deja vu point to something very unusual about time as a possible illusion or non linear event all happening at once.
Other creative themes include those of ' Remembrance ' of ' the Eternal summer ' as a being .
We are free to imagine , the soul cannot be proved as ' reality ' and it cannot be disproved as ' non reality ' and to live in a state of imagined optimism feels better than than a ' cold ration cynicism ' where the spirit is concerned .
Somewhere between the two seems the easiest place to dwell most times.
As with all art it's better in some sense to analyse less and perceive and not judge , experience and let go and then move on , it's just another moment and experience ?
