Biography
Recently, a strange figure appeared on Polyop’s horizon. The being took command of their ship, pulling them across the universe in search of psychedelic crystals.
Inspired by Sci-fi visions of electro groups past, Polyop continue the tradition and have developed a spectacular audiovisual show set in an alternate world unlike any you’ve seen before. The show follows a mysterious being across the Polyhedral plane, inhabited by strange planets, entities and alien races, all fuelled by a potent crystal which permeates all existence. Drawing influence from the heroes of 90’s dance music, the 3D visuals react in real-time to an acid-electro performed live on hardware.
Polyop have crafted their show at festivals and shows across the UK since 2017, and released music on Nudibranch Records and Tru Thoughts. They have designed an open-source visual performance software called Hedron. Hedron has become a tool for multiple visual artists across the globe.
