Biography
Greek born, Birmingham based producer/Dj bending the darkest corners of techno and electronica,Vasili Carlson's passion and fascination of electronic music began back in the nineties like a lot of other artists today.back in his homeland Greece.
Vasili began his journey from the progressive sounds bought by James Holden and James Lavelle and to name a few.
Moving to Birmingham he was awoken to the Dark but thriving Techno scene at the time with the likes of Surgeon and Regis as well as the minimal sound of the early 00's such as Audion,Gabriel Ananda and Stephan Bodjin and labels such as Systematic, Kompakt, Traum, Herzblut only to mention a few.
Production of electronic music started 4 years ago releasing on his first attempt as label co owner of People Records UK under the AMTR and Vois aliases and more recently as Metic on Division Sub Records.
His first EP release as Vasili Carlson finds him on City Wall Records with his Stern EP, followed by a second EP in the summer and his full length album towards the end of last summer all on City Wall Records.More releases on labels such as Slates Records,Intrusion,The LimbiicSystem and Dark Modular.
Vasili has also played in some memorable parties like Lost Bristol, Elements, Tronika and the Corner Sessions series playing under some great Djs like The Advent, Peter Van Hoesen, Rebekah, Mark Henning and Dexter.
In August 2016 Vasili and Jay Sirett started KODEN, a concert tour based in Birmingham UK focusing on forward thinking Techno from around the world.
