Theosophy is kind, compassionate, understanding and forgiving, but at the same time it is a hard taskmaster. The essence of theosophy is the perfect harmonizing of the divine with the spiritual in man, the adjustment of his god-like qualities and aspirations and their sway over the terrestrial and animal passions in him.
